2016 Annual Meeting

Sandie Cooper, president, called the meeting to order 4:15pm.

Present: Sandie Cooper (Board pres), Randy Fay (Board sec), Ron LeCrone, Nancy Lewis (Board), Kristy Musser, Jack and Wilma Harbin, John McCreary and Marsha McCreary, Ruth Young, Tanya Hawkins (Treasurer), Tim Laudick (Board), Ray Musser (Board), Ping Ryan, Bill Carlson.

2016 Expenses and Budget Discussion

Tim Laudick moved to accept financials as presented by Tanya. The motion was seconded and passed unanimously.

Landscaping Report

Nancy Lewis explained last year's activities, with tree and bush replacement, many volunteer activities, trimming, etc. The board (led by Nancy) had contracted with several different individuals and entities in order to get the landscaping done, and did a good bit of volunteer work as well. However, the result was not completely satisfying, and so for this year the board contracted with a single entity, WD Yards.

Bill Carlson asked about the long-term issue of drainage from upstream (See history as of 2014. Bill asked about why the water backs up in the retention pond. Ray Musser explained that sticking valves on the irrigation pond may have resulted in excess water in the retention pond as well.

2016 Budget

The 2016 Annual Budget was discussed and approved as presented. Ray Musser moved to accept it, Tim Laudick seconded the motion, and it passed unanimously.

Tanya resigning from Treasurer Position

Tanya Hawkins will be resigning from treasurer in May, so we need a new treasurer. The board normally chooses new officers at its meeting following the Annual Meeting, so that meeting is scheduled for June 7.

Board Member nominations

  • John McCreary and Ron LeCrone were nominated as new board members.
    Ron and John were elected unanimously. Current board members also agreed to continue.

Emergency contact form

Sandie Cooper emphasized that we need contact information for both owners and renters at all times. If you haven't done so, please fill out the Emergency Contact Form.

Concern about the security people parked by the mailbox

Kristy Musser raised a concern about the security vehicle which has been parked most nights in front of the mailboxes for about 6 months.

Various community members explained the conversations they'd had with the community member who has hired the security company.

Randy Fay moved that

  • We ask the HOA member in question to to get security people to park on his property or in front of his properties and
  • We ask for a meeting with the security company and the HOA member and Palisade Police representative. Seconded by Ruth Young. Approved unanimously.

Adjournment

At 5:39pm Ruth Young moved to adjourn, Randy Fay seconded, motion carried.

Action items:

  • Randy Fay will draft a letter to concerning the security company's presence on the block.
